Leh, a high-desert city in the Himalayas, is the capital of the Leh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital of Nubra is about 150 km north from Leh town, the capital of Ladakh district, India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra.
To access the Pangong Lake, one has to take a five hour long drive from Leh through coarse and dramatic mountain road. The best time to visit Ladakh is between May to September as during winter, the Pangong Tso lake gets freeze.Pangong Tso is a borderline terrain. The Line of Actual Control passes through thislake.
